Mark Elsasser

Chief Executive Officer

Mark E. Elsasser has served as Chief Executive Officer of the Westfield Area YMCA since July, 2002.  Prior, he served six years as Executive Vice President of Operations of the YMCA of Central Maryland and as District Vice President, Senior Vice President, Executive Director and Program Director at the YMCA in Philadelphia where he began his full-time YMCA career in 1980. 
Mark taught as an adjunct professor at Springfield College, MA from 2008 to 2018 and served as President of the New Jersey YMCA State Alliance from 2013 to 2015. 
Mark holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Health, Physical Education and Recreation from Lock Haven University, PA and a Master’s Degree in Organizational Management specializing in non-profit organizations from La Salle University, PA.  He is also a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE).
