A Message from the Westfield Area YMCA during these troubling times
The Westfield Area YMCA stands with our neighbors nationwide who have suffered from any form of racism. At the Y, we welcome everyone—different backgrounds, perspectives and generations—because we believe our communities are stronger when we come together. We believe that everyone—no matter who they are or where they’re from—deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential.
All of us in the Y must understand that we’re part of the solution, individually and collectively. The Y has the credibility and capacity to lead. We are guided by the light of our organizational commitment to inclusion and our focus on young people.
The Y is here for our community. Together we are stronger.
At the Y, we focus on nurturing the potential of every child and teen, improving our community’s health and well-being and giving back to our neighbors. Everyone is welcome at the Y, regardless of age, ability, income or background. We are dedicated to providing programs and memberships that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all and have been proudly serving the communities of Westfield, Cranford, Garwood and Mountainside since 1923.

We are living through difficult times and we are here for each other. Make sure to exercise! A wide variety of stay-at-home wellness activities are available here. Try to eat right and get enough sleep. And if you’re feeling anxious, the resources at Here2Helpnj.org are available.
We are proud to be partnering with the Westfield Food Pantry to help those in need. The vestibule of our Main Y Facility will be open Monday-Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm for you to drop off non-perishable items, or you can leave donations in the large black container outside the front door at any time.
