About Our Y

At the Westfield Area YMCA, strengthening community is our cause.

With a focus on developing the potential of kids, improving individual health and well-being, and giving back and supporting our neighbors, being a part of the Y will bring about meaningful change not just within yourself  but in your community.  Every day, we work side-by-side with our neighbors to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, ability, income or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive.

    Hang out with friends or mix with new ones at the Bauer Branch. Our DJ team will spin great music, run games, and have plenty of giveaways. A 2016-2017 School Year Youth/Teen Event Registration Form is required (one form valid through 8/17).
    - We are a peanut free environment
    - $8 in advance (by 3:30PM at Main Y) or $10 at door
    - drinks and snacks available, $1 each

  • TRX Suspension Training Course

    We are a host training facility for a TRX® Suspension Training® course! Certified fitness professionals are eligible for Continuing Education Credits (CECs). There are no prerequisites.   • Jersey Mike's Subs Day Of Giving

    Eat at Jersey Mike's!! Our local Jersey Mike’s Subs (East Broad St., Westfield) will donate 100 percent of the day’s sales to the Westfield Area YMCA’s Annual Support Campaign.

    Thanks to the Annual Support Campaign, no one who lives or works in Cranford, Garwood, Mountainside or Westfield and is experiencing a bona fide financial hardship is denied the opportunity to participate at our Y.

  • Brighten Up Your Front Door

    March 29, 2017 @ 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm

    Put winter behind you and think spring! Make a wreath at this hands-on workshop to brighten up your own front door…or as a great gift! The wreath is approximately 16” in diameter and materials to make your creation are provided. Simply bring a pair of gardening gloves, scissors (medium or heavy duty) and your creativity. Led by Mary Smith, long time member of the Rake and Hoe Garden Club of Westfield. Register by 3/22.
    $20 covers all materials.
