Shannon was first hired at the Westfield Area Y in 2001 as a part time lifeguard and swim instructor.  Throughout college she worked at YMCAs in Rhode Island and Maryland.

After graduating in 2006 from Towson University with a B.S. in Mass Communication she became the Aquatics Coordinator for the Westfield Area Y.  She became the Teen & Camp Coordinator in 2007, the Assistant Director for Youth, Teens, & Camp in 2008, and in 2009, took on the additional role of Assistant Marketing Director.  Shannon became the Associate Director of SACC and Camp in 2011 and was promoted to her current position in 2013.

She resides in Westfield and enjoys spending her free time with her family.
