Sunshine Camp

Welcome to Sunshine Camp

Located in an air-conditioned facility, activities include arts & crafts, sports, games, cooking, science projects, themed dress up days, playground time and more.  Campers and staff travel by bus to the Main Y Facility for instructional and recreational swimming.  Each week features an exciting event or a field trip (no more than 30 minutes away)  We are always walking on sunshine at camp!

General Schedule

8:30-9:00am  Sign in at the Bauer Branch — Valet drop off runs from 8:30-9:00am in a line at the back parking lot of the Bauer Branch. Please remain in your car on line, ready, and a staff member will escort your child to camp.

9:00am  Circle Time

9:30am-12:30  Snack, Fun Activities such as room games, arts & crafts, playground or gym games and Lunch

12:30pm  Groups start traveling to Main Y for swimming.

The groups return to the Bauer Branch at different times. All groups return by 3:15pm

4:00-4:30PM  Valet pick-up at the Bauer Branch  — Form a line at the back parking lot of the Bauer Branch. Please remain in your car on line and have your photo I.D. ready. A staff member will bring your child to you. Please note you are responsible for buckling up your child in the car.

What to Bring

Our swim days are Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday. The children and staff will be bused to the Main Y and swim in the Rooke Pool. Please do not forget to send your child with proper swim attire, a towel, & goggles if needed and a plastic bag for each day.

Please bring an “As Is” lunch to camp. We don’t have access to a fridge or microwave. Please provide 3 snacks: morning snack, lunch snack and afternoon snack. We are a peanut and tree nut free camp.

Also . . . Wear Sneakers, Sunscreen, Wear Camp Shirts on Thursday for Trip Day, Permission Slips, Extra bag of clothes in case of accidents, Extra bottle of water

Week 6: Sunshine Hoedown Week (Learn about the Wild West, gold rush) Hoedown on Friday; Trip: 8.2.18- Wild West City

Week 7: Disney Classics Week (Celebrate Classic Movie) Winnie the Pooh Picnic on Friday; Trip: 8.9.18- Winnie Pooh Movie

Week 8: Decades Week (Each day celebrate a different decade); Trip: 8.16.18- Jersey Lanes

Week 9:Sports Week; Trip: 8.23.18- Basketball Game (At Y)
