Grow, Learn, Experience

Middle School Teens

The Westfield Area YMCA is committed to serving the teens and pre-teens of our community through structured, well planned and supervised activities that help build spirit, mind and body while reinforcing the character values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

5th Grade Dance Parties

Hang out with friends or mix with new ones! Our DJ team will spin great music, run games, and have plenty of giveaways. A 5th Grade Event Form with parent signature required (one form is valid for school year).

Ticket Sales:

Due to Fire and Safety regulations, we must limit the number of participants. Tickets are available in advance sold up to the day of the event until 6:00PM at the Main Y, and 3:30PM at the Bauer Branch. If tickets remain, participants will be able to pay at the door.

Drop-off, Pick-up, Parking:

The only entrance/exit to the Bauer Branch is from East Broad St. Under no circumstances should anyone enter the Y property through the Euclid Ave. driveway, nor should anyone park or wait in that area. In addition, the parking spaces along that building and the chained off parking lot to the back do not belong to the Y. They are private property. Usage of that lot or driveway may lead to motor vehicle tickets being issued to you and/or the towing of your vehicle at your expense.

Trips

Great ski/snowboard day trips are a great way to stay active and healthy in the winter months and connect with nature. The added bonus is when you participate in a trip with the Y you’ll get to share your experience with friends.

Y membership is not required. Printed and signed registration form and waiver required. Families are welcome. Any child in 5th grade and under must be accompanied by an adult. Weekend trips leave from the Bauer Branch at 6am and return at 7pm. Friday Night trips leave at 3pm and return at approximately 11:30pm. Trip fee includes: Lift ticket, bussing and chaperones (rentals, lessons and food not included).

Other trips during the year have included Six Flags Fright Fest and vacation day trips.

Online registration is available for trips, but a signed permission slip is also required (printable version below).
