Here 2 Help Coalition | Westfield Area Y

Here 2 Help

Stress, anxiety and depression are conditions that occur to all of us at various times.  Yet, there is stigma attached to discussing mental health.

Here 2 Help is a community-based coalition with a mission of helping improve awareness and understanding of mental health issues through education, basic skills training and resource information and to help break down barriers that prevent people from seeking care.

Here 2 Help coalition members include:  the Westfield United Fund; Youth & Family Counseling Service; Contact We Care; Imagine; Prevention Links; UCPC Behavioral Healthcare; Westfield Public Health; Westfield Senior Housing; the Westfield Public School Guidance Department as well as clergy members and other volunteers.

A resource sheet has been developed.  Click here.

Youth Mental Health First Aid training will be available at the Y this fall.  Please see our events listing on this website or  call the Y for details.

For more information or to get involved in the coalition, please contact Bonnie Cohen at 908-233-2700 x240;bcohen@westfieldynj.org.
