When Amy and her husband moved to Westfield, her new neighbors recommended the Y. They quickly saw the Y as a convenient place to work out, but it also became the source of long-lasting friendships they have today.
“The other members know you. It’s noticed when you are not in class, and you think of them as well. This camaraderie was how I made my first friendships here. My son David has been taking classes at the Y since Stroller Fit! His friendships started here too.”
“We became a part of the Y because it had so much to offer. I’ve met just about all my friends at the Y.”
Amy has found support at the Y as her growing family’s needs have changed. She came back as soon as she could after her 1st pregnancy, taking classes and watching her diet and nutrition to become in good shape and stroner. her son has been involved in more classes, programs and leagues than she can count.
Now in her 2nd pregnancy, she recently switched from land to aquatics for her workouts.
“The Y mission is important to me. I contribute. I help. There is a mind, body, and soul connection that is wonderful and powerful. I feel good when I leave here.”
