Welcome to Camp
Hello! My name is Megan Gallagher and I will be your 2018 Camp Explorer Unit Director! I have 0been a full year employee of the Westfield Area Y since 2006 and in those 12 years have worn many hats, including over a decade of hands on camp experience. My super staff and I are prepped and primed for a fantastic summer!
Your child will participate in fun group games, sports, silly songs, art projects, new friendships, special event days, amazing field trips and awesome camp memories. We are looking forward to a great camp session together!
What to Bring
We recommend that your child dress for a comfortable day at camp with shorts, t-shirts, socks and sneakers, (crocs are not permitted). On Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Fridays the campers will take part in recreational swimming. Please feel free to send your child with their bathing suits under their clothes along with a towel and undergarments in a water proof labeled bag. Please make sure all belongings are labeled clearly so nothing ends up missing or lost at the Main Y Facility.
Each day your child should bring a non-perishable peanut/tree nut free lunch, extra snacks and a refillable water bottle.
Please remember to wear your Camp t-shirt every Thursday for trip day. If needed, replacements may be purchased for $8.00.
We will also be offering Pizza Fridays for $5 every week!
