The Y Black Achievers Pledge:  “I am a 5-star ambassador. I represent myself, my family, my community, my school and my race with pride, dignity and excellence. I am a Black Achiever!”

The Westfield Area Y Black Achievers program inspires Black youth in middle and high school throughout Union County to become leaders in their community and achieve academic excellence.

The program develops positive sense of self, raises academic standards, develops life skills, offers college and career guidance, and provides positive role models.

Our participants become leaders and role models in their own right, and give back to the community.
