When kids play sports, they get more than just exercise.
Besides being physically healthier, they have higher self-esteem and a healthier body image. The benefits of playing sports go far beyond the physical. Kids who play perform better in school, develop better interpersonal skills and work better in groups. They are more resilient against life's challenges and less likely to abuse drugs or alcohol.
The Y Sports program maximizes the positive effects of playing sports, emphasizing healthy competition while promoting teamwork and individual development. We focus on the life lessons to be learned from sports, and coaches strive to instill positive self-image in each player.
We offer a wide variety of programs for ages 3 - 13. Whether it's a league, a class or a summer clinic, we have a class that's right for you! Westfield Area Y sports classes offer children an avenue to exercise, combat obesity, sharpen skills, exhibit sportsmanship and have fun.
Adult Sports Leagues, Classes, and Lessons
