From one week to the whole summer, we are happy to offer a variety of camp experiences to meet the needs and interests of youth and children ages 3-15.   Our camp offerings include traditional, sports, specialty, and travel programs.

ABOUT CAMP

We make summer fun every day at Westfield Area Y camps.  The Y is a safe, thriving environment for campers to try new activities, learn new skills, be creative, make lasting friendships, and have a blast!

Our camp program features an array of traditional, sports, specialty, travel, and teen camps.  Join us for one or more weeks or all summer long. Full-day, half-day and extended day programs are available for campers ages 3-15. We offer programs in Garwood, Mountainside and Westfield. Our Westfield-based programs are ACA accredited.  The Y camp curriculum is structured to promote teamwork, build self-esteem and include educational components.  We incorporate the Y core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility in all we do.

Every member of our camp staff receives over 30 hours of pre-camp training including Red Cross certification in CPR for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid with EpiPen administration as well as asthma inhaler training, anti-bullying, behavior management and more.  We also have a full-time EMT on staff during the camp season.

For over 120 years the Y has been at the forefront of the camping industry with a rich history and impeccable track record of excellence.  The continuation of this tradition is evidenced by decades of successful camp programming here at the Westfield Area Y.
