The Westfield Area Y is a nonprofit 501 ( c ) 3 charitable organization. It is our mission to develop the full potential of every individual and family in the communities we serve through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
There are several branches of the Y's financial development program.
Strong Kids Annual Support Campaign
We are deeply committed to the philosophy that no one who is experiencing a bona fide financahip hardship is turned away for inability to pay. Consistent with that policy, the Y runs an annual support campaign (Strong Kids) to provide direct financial assistance to people in need in our community to enable their participation in Y programs and memberships.
Triangle Society Endowment Fund
A strong endowment fund ensures stability and growth well into the future. Membership in the Triangle Society is given to donors whose gifts have a value of $5,000 or more, whether they be deferred gifts, outright gifts or bequests in wills.
Westfield United Fund, United Way of Greater Union County, Foundation & Corporate Grants
The Westfield United Fund helps subsidize the cost of providing youth and family, teen and senior programs for the communities we serve. Other foundation and corporate grants are geared to varous program initiatives.
To ensure the quality of Y programming, facilities must be well designed, clean, safe and aggressively maintained. Periodic capital campaigns ensure that we meet this need.
