To ensure the quality of Y programming, facilities must be well designed, clean, safe and aggressively maintained.  Periodic capital campaigns ensure that we meet this need. 

Our last capital campaign was launched in 2004 when we renovated the Christian Science Church on East Broad Street into the Robert and Virginia Bauer Family Branch of the Westfield Area Y.  The campaign raised approximately $3 million.   

The Westfield Area Y is a charitable, nonprofit 501 ( c ) 3 organization.  We strengthen the foundation of community.  With a commitment to nurturing the potential of kids, promoting healthy living and fostering a sense of social responsibility, the Y ensures that every individual has access to the essentials needed to learn, grow and thrive.
