Clubs


The Westfield Chess Club

This club includes lectures, USCF tournaments, youth tournaments, team matches and casual play.

Leaders Club
Leaders Club activities are centered around four goals:  leadership training, personal growth, service to others and social development.  Have a great time and get involved!  The club is open to students in 6th-12th grades and includes community service, weekend trips and other fun activities that build leadership skills.  Y membership is required as well as an annual $10 club fee.  For more information, call the Y at 908-233-2700.


Literature Club
The Westfield Area Y Literature Club selects its own readings and meets for 10 weeks for discussion.  Tuesdays from 9:30-11:30am.  For more information, call the Y. 

The Japanese Women’s Club
This club is organized by Japanese women who live in the Westfield area. It is designed to give assistance to Japanese women and to provide a means to make friends. Meets the first Wednesday of each month, Fall- Spring 1pm-3pm

The Rotary Club of Westfield
The Rotary Club of Westfield is a community service organization of businessmen and women and community volunteers.  They meet weekly on Tuesday for lunch from 12:15 to 1:30pm on the second floor of the Y.  There is an interesting lecture each week.  the club supports local projects to improve the community, and also has a large scholarship program.  guests are always welcome.  the Rotary Club website is www.westfieldrotary.com  



The International Club
This club promotes international brotherhood by
welcoming people from foreign countries, assisting
them in understanding and adjusting to life in the United States and providing a means to learn about other’s national cultures and customs. Meets every first Thursday monthly, Fall-Spring at 9:30am.

Y’s Men’s Club of Westfield

A fellowship of persons interested in service to the
Y and the youth of our community. Our projects
include the Halloween Parade, Model United Nations, Youth & Government, Leader’s Club and more. These efforts are supported by our annual
Christmas tree sale, the most successful fund-raiser of any service club in the area! Meets 2nd & 4th Wed. of each month at 7:00pm.

Arthritis Support Group
Free and open to the public, the Westfield Area Y offers monthly support group meetings for those with arthritis.  For more information, call Janice A. Carthens at 908-233-2700.
