Half Day Preschool
at the Robert and Virginia Bauer Family Branch
The Westfield Y's half day preschool for children between the ages of 2 1/2 and 5
is led by an experienced and loving staff.
Classrooms are designed for exploration and hands-on
learning and include an art, dramatic play, building,
computer, nature and quiet area. Toys and
equipment continually vary to meet the needs and
interests of each child. The class schedule offers
a balance of active and quiet time and keeps transitions
to a minimum. Group time includes a daily snack,
story, music and movement. Children visit the
indoor gym or outdoor playground daily. Your child's day may be
extended by one hour to include an enrichment class and
lunch. Enrichment classes may include art,
cooking, gardening, computers, science or a variety of
sports. Parents are offered a variety of
opportunities to become involved, such as chaperoning
class trips, reading to the class or sitting on one of

Full Day Child Care
The
Westfield Area Y Children’s Center is located at
170 Elm Street behind the First Baptist Church.
Year round programs are offered from 7:30 am - 6:00 pm for children 12 mos. to 5 years of age.
After care from 6:00-6:30 pm is offered at an
additional fee. Our program is a well balanced blend of social interaction and self-discovery
encouraged through free play, art, music and learning centers. Daily physical activity includes
outdoor play. The child care employs state licensed, certified teachers. Min. 3 days per
week.

Full Day Kindergarten
Our kindergarten program follows Public School’s curriculum, incorporating all subject
areas, and is licensed by the State of New Jersey. Times are 9:00 am - 3:00 pm, with
before and after care available on site. Children
must be 5 yrs. old by Oct. 1

Kids Club Member Babysitting
Available to members while using the facility. All children must be registered.
Registration forms and handbooks are available at the Front Desk.

Before School Care
(7:00 am - 8:45 am)
Westfield Public & Holy Trinity Schools - Grades K-5. Designed to meet the needs of
today’s working parents and their children. Participants are transported by bus to their
schools by class time.

Kindergarten Wrap Around

PM Kindergarten Wrap Around
11:30 am - 3:00 pm A Kindergarten program of education and
recreation during off school hours.
Transportation is provided to/from the Westfield Public Schools. Activities include swim lessons,
gym time, arts and crafts, songs and free play. Available 2-5 days a week.

After School Care
(3:05 pm - 6:00 pm)
Grades K-5. This program offers a fun, friendly and well-rounded environment where your child
can enjoy an afternoon of supervised and diverse activities. Transportation is provided from the
Westfield public schools and Holy Trinity.

Jefferson/Wilson/Washington After School Program
(3:05 pm - 6:00 pm)
Lincoln School in Garwood
On-site after school programs for Grades K-5. Participants stay at the school with Y staff
members for an afternoon of activities and
enrichment classes. Vacation programs are provided on half days and
vacation holidays. Children do not need to be enrolled in a school age program to participate in
full vacation days. Advanced sign up is required. Space is based on availability.

CLUB MID
at Edison & Roosevelt Schools
6th - 8th Grades
Middle school teens enjoy structured activities such
as sports, arts & crafts, cooking and computers,
have time with their friends and time to do their
homework. The program is available 2-5 days
per week from 3:00-6:00pm.
Two days per week, students will be bused to the
Robert and Virginia Bauer Family Branch to use the
Teen Cardio Arcade and the new Computer
Learning Center.
