Y's Men's Club

WESTFIELD AREA Y MEN'S CLUB

For over 60 years The WESTFIELD AREA Y MEN’S CLUB has held its annual Christmas Tree Sale with all proceeds donated to local charities and non-profit organizations.  The event is run by Men’s Club members from Westfield, Scotch Plains, Mountainside and Cranford, along with many volunteers from area organizations and local youth.

Mission Statement

The mission of the WESTFIELD AREA Y MEN'S CLUB is to function as a service organization and raise money for charitable causes.  We strive to give back to the local community and support organizations, groups and individuals that share our values of respect, responsibility, volunteerism and youth development.

Fundraising and Volunteerism

Selling Christmas trees is our primary fundraising method and we've raised over $2,000,000 that directly supports the community.  The club makes donations and grants to include Y programs such as The Annual Support Campaign for strong kids, Minority Achievers, Healthy Kids Day and The Leaders Club.  Support to local charities includes the Resolve Community Counseling Center; NJ Youth Theater; Contact WeCare; Westfield United Fund; The Children’s Learning Center in Scotch Plains; Furniture Assist; Westfield Rescue Squad; SPF Lacrosse; Cancer Center at Overlook Hospital, Imagine grief support, The Children’s Specialized Hospital, and local Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, to name a few.  The club is a NJ non-profit and recognized 501(c)3 charitable organization.

We are an inclusive club and welcome anyone who supports our mission and values.  The tree lot is a magnet for youth volunteers from area middle schools and high schools.  The kids support tree lot set-up and sales.  Not only is it great to give back to the community by volunteering, it’s a positive learning experience for the kids.  Any middle school or high school age kids who would like to volunteer can stop by the lot and pick up a permission slip.

Become A Member!

The club is always seeking new members that share our values and support our mission. Volunteering for the Y’s Men is a great way to give back to the community and get in the holiday spirit of giving!

To be a member we ask for your time supporting tree lot set-up, operations and sales during the holiday season (Thanksgiving – New Year's).  Volunteering during the holiday season is very meaningful and especially knowing that your work supports local charities and organizations that directly help area residents.

Stop by the tree lot and talk to any member for more information.  The tree lot is located on the Elm Street Athletic Field in Westfield across from Stop & Shop.
