Mark Elsasser

Chief Executive Officer

Mark has served as Chief Executive Officer of the Westfield Area Y

since July 2002.  Before moving to Westfield, Mark served six years as

the Executive Vice President of Operations of the YMCA of Central Maryland,

which has eight branches.  Prior to that he was the District Vice President and

Senior Vice President of the YMCA in Philadelphia.  Mark holds a B.S. in

Health, Physical Education and Recreation from Lock Haven University

in Lock Haven, PA and an M.S. in Organizational Management specializing in

non-profit organizations from LaSalle University in Philadelphia. Mark earned

his national CFRE (Certified Fundraising Executive) certification in 1992 and is

a National YMCA Senior Director.  Mark and his wife, Sherry reside in Westfield

and have two children, Brittany and Bryan.
